The short answer: HV Podcasting records podcasts on location anywhere in the Hudson Valley for $350 per episode, editing included. Travel is covered within 25 miles of our Newburgh, NY studio. Beyond that, we add travel expenses and tell you the total up front.

Sometimes the studio is the wrong place to record. The CEO has 40 minutes between meetings. The event only happens once. The whole point of the episode is the place it's recorded in.

For those situations we pack up professional portable equipment, come to you, run the session, and take the recording back to the studio to edit. You get the same people and the same finishing work as an in-studio episode.

How much does mobile podcast recording cost?

Mobile recording is $350 per episode. That covers on-location recording with professional portable equipment, plus editing. Travel is included anywhere within 25 miles of our Newburgh, NY studio. Beyond 25 miles, we add travel expenses and quote the total before you book.

What areas do you travel to?

Anywhere in the Hudson Valley. Travel is already included for locations within 25 miles of Newburgh, which covers places like Beacon, Fishkill, Wappingers Falls, Poughkeepsie, New Windsor, Cornwall, Walden, Goshen, Middletown, and New Paltz. Farther locations like Kingston and Warwick are no problem. They just carry a travel cost.

What do I need to have ready at my location?

A reasonably quiet room with a door that closes, a table and chairs for everyone speaking, and a power outlet. Carpet, curtains, and furniture help the sound. Rooms with a lot of glass, tile, or humming equipment make it harder. We'll talk through your space before the session.

Is editing included with mobile recording?

Yes. Editing is included in the $350 per episode price, with the same two weeks or less standard turnaround as our studio sessions. One to two rounds of revisions are included.

Should I record on location or come to the studio?

If you can get everyone to Newburgh, the studio gives you the best result: a treated room, three 4K cameras, and a styled set for $250 per episode. Mobile recording makes sense when the location is the point, like an event, a shop floor, or an office where several busy people need to be recorded in one morning.
